Past

Stockholm-based Seedo was founded in 2009 by the internet TV pioneers Dan Willstrand, Jens Ander and Johan Wiklund. Their experience of online video stretches back to 1997 when they streamed their first customer events with Real Player at 20 kbps. In 1998 they launched Scandinavia's first Internet TV company Kamera Interactive, which rapidly became a European leader in the emerging streaming media industry.

Over the years the work for customers such as Associated Press, The Nobel Prize, Absolut Vodka and Aftonbladet rewarded Kamera with an international reputation and a customer list with more than 200 blue-chip companies. Kamera was later divided into a production company, now owned by World Television and a distribution company, now owned by Kit Digital.

Present

Moving pictures used to be a glamorous and costly tool for marketeers. Production and distribution budgets made TV commercials affordable only for a chosen few. Those days are gone. If you accept that the users are in power in the digital media world, and if you create videos that deserve to be watched, then there’s a brave new world of distribution opportunities, including social media, bloggers, video sites and online media.

We help you navigate through this new environment. We provide consulting and technology services that make online video marketing work. We take you through the process of:

  • Mapping your target groups and their favourite websites.
  • Using a viral video player.
  • Identifying potential publishing partners.
  • Reaching key influencers.
  • Distributing to video sharing sites.
  • Measuring, reporting and evaluation.

    Future

Who knows? But here’s what we believe:

  • Video is a key ingredient in peoples' consumption of on demand media.
  • Broadcasters have become suppliers of on demand multimedia experiences.
  • Newspapers are digital.
  • Revival of quality.
  • Marketing is based on pull rather than push.
